Bald Point State Park is comprised of 4,065 upland acres at the point where Apalachee Bay meets Ochlockonee Bay on the Gulf of Mexico. This is an area of oak thickets, pine flatwoods and coastal marshes: excellent for bird watching and a multitude of land and water activities. The fishing, birding and wildlife viewing are excellent (especially in the fall when bald eagles and monarch butterflies come through on their way south), never mind the sunbathing, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing and windsurfing. This is a day use only park with a fishing dock and picnic pavilions.

Bald Point State Park is one mile south of Ochlockonee Bay. Turn off US Highway 98 and follow State Road 370 for three miles to Bald Point Road and the park entrance. Bald Point State Park is open from 8 am to sunset, 365 days a year.

Admission fees: $4 per vehicle to a maximum of 8 occupants. $2 for pedestrians, bicyclists and extra passengers. You'll want exact change because you'll be paying into an honor box.
