Bronson, Florida

Bronson City Hall

Bronson is a small town located at a crossroads in northeastern Levy County. It's also the county seat but not the largest town in the county. There's a few shops, a grocery store, some gas stations and a few other businesses but anyone wanting to do any serious shopping probably goes to Gainesville (24 miles northeast).
Levy County is one of those places in Florida where folks go to get away from everything. If you're not into wildlife, forest, fishing, hunting, boating, peace-and-quiet, don't go to Levy County. And the main road through Levy County is US Highway 19, eleven miles west of Bronson.
Between 2000 and 2010, the population of Bronson rose about 15.5%.
